Hi! I'm your Matchmaker!
​My name is Jean-eva, and I am the founder of Book of Love Canada. I began this journey as a single woman, in the dating battle field. I used to flail in the dating world, never understanding what I was doing wrong. I wanted to find my partner, but past patterns kept creating the same results. Relationships that would last a year or two and then end.
That was fine when I was in my 20's and early 30's, but at 35, I was tired of that never ending cycle. I knew I had to change something, because what I was doing, clearly was NOT working. Along the way of building a successful matchmaking and dating coaching company, I taught myself many things, but the most impactful were:
- Breaking the cycle of my past patterns.
- Learning to understand and love men (recovered man hater).
- Becoming the best version of myself.
- How to attract, qualify and choose a compatible partner.
​It wasn't until I found my now partner, that I completely understood why it didn't work with all those other relationships.​​​​
Our services began in 2018 with one speed dating event in Halifax, Nova Scotia. From that one humble event with 8 men and 8 women, we have grown to several singles events a month, group dating workshops, 1-on-1 proven dating coaching services, an honest blog, a weekly podcast and a east coast designed matchmaking service.
Online dating has created a culture of hurt people, hurting people, grounded in unkindness and dishonesty. We have designed a dating community that reflects the real and friendly people of eastern Canada, led by kindness and honesty. ​We have created a complete system that will take a single from any form of singlehood, show them how to become the best version of themselves, with the mindset, skills and confidence to approach the dating world.
